The Great Rubber Duckie Race

Our annual Rubber Duckie Race took place on Town Day June 5, 2010.

Thanks to all of the SYBS families for supporting the 17th Annual SYBS Rubber Duckie Race. The event culminating with nearly 5,000 duckies being dropped from the sky was one of our most successful fundraising events raising well over $40,000. A portion of the proceeds will be donated by SYBS to the Winchester Field Development Council.

The event would not have been a success without the efforts of many hard-working, talented and generous individuals within our program.

Tim Woolston, our Booster Club President and all the league parents, team parents and coaches were remarkable in supporting of duckie sales. So many of our leagues reached, approached or exceeded their goals and this was truly due to their efforts.

Cydney of Ambrose Photography arranged for the coveted player prize "Meet Dustin Pedroia and Jason Varitek." Our thanks as always to Cydney for her generous support of SYBS.

Finally, a special thanks to each and every SYBS player for their efforts in supporting the race. THANK YOU ! You truly did a great job !
