Pro-Care Red Sox Win AA Championship
After a steady downpour and the threat of more rain, the Pro-Care, Inc. Red Sox took the field with hopes of winning a AA championship against the E.B. Rotondi and Sons Cardinals. The Red Sox wishes came true with a hard-fought 3-2 victory that was fueled by the powerful arm of Brennan Clarke and the leadership of their catcher Matthew Fuccillo.

The Red Sox fell behind 1-0 in the top of the second, when the Cardinals' Zuch singled and was driven home on a double by Brian Dentler. In the bottom of the third, the Sox tied the game at 1-1 when Jake Russell worked a leadoff walk and was driven in by Jack Toner, who was thrown out at the plate attempting to stretch a triple into a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, Fuccillo scorched a double over the center fielder’s head, stole third and scored the go-ahead run on an RBI ground ball by Clarke.
Errorless fielding by Red Sox stars Sarah Baker, Tatum Driscoll, Preston Burbine, Owen Ulicny, John Belinsky, Camreron Snow, Jake Cohen and Teddy Locke kept the game tight. But the Cardinals were still able to tie the score in the visitors' fifth when Joe Rotondi walked and Zuch came through with his second hit of the game to drive home Rotondi.
With the score tied in the bottom of the fifth, the Red Sox pushed across the winning run. Walter Thilly and Driscoll walked, setting up a well-placed and timely bunt by Russell that scored Thilly. With a 3-2 lead in the top of the sixth, Clarke bore down and blew away the opposition, which was followed by a joyous championship celebration on the field by the entire Red Sox team.
